Happy St Patty's Day!

Well since it's St Patty's day I wanted to share with you a yummy recipe that I found and will be making tonight in honor of this day.
Which by the way has more meaning then green beer, corn beef and cabbage, and big parades of a sea of green.

It's funny when I ask some people they think that St Patrick was a leprechaun. NOPE! Here's a little lesson on St Patrick's day for ya from the Irish side of me.

St Patrick was a saint! Hence the ST in front of his name. He was the patron Saint and national apostle of Ireland. Now the intended meaning of this day is spiritual renewal and offerings of prayers for missionaries world wide.

Just a little mini history lesson for you. I spend a bit of time reading about different things sometimes people need to know sometimes absolutely just me wanting to know.

And how are we celebrating it here in our house these Green Velvet Cupcakes with sloppy jo's and cheesy hashbrowns. No corn beef and cabbage here. If people in my house ate that we would be all over it. But a 20 lb corned beef brisket and only me eating it more then likely not gonna happen.
