Food boycott!

Since being so sick for so long J went through all these crazy food boycott's.
Now that he is feeling better he still is super picky about what he eats. I think now it's just his age.
So luckily I have Weelicious. One of my favorite recipe spots since J started eating solid foods.
I recently made these muffin's from her site Mini sweet potato muffins
I suggest having them on hand as well. They freeze great and he loves them. I added some of my own ingredients as well.
I also suggest checking out her site for more recipe ideas for your little ones.

sunday walk

We go out on family walks in the most amazing places. Tonight we ended up on a snowmobile trail down by the river.
Joshua encountered snake grass for the first time.
Apparently mom hasn't seen it before either because I swore it was bamboo!
We didn't take photo's of this walk, we just walked, talked, and laughed at our toddler learning the all the new sounds, textures, and things to see around him.

On Sunday however we did go out on a walk at pothole park. Joshua loved it!
I think we have a rock climber in our midst.

Don't worry dad is very close to him I just cropped him out and had him hide :)
We enjoyed the river.
Which wow is that ever high! And moving so fast.
It's this time of year that I love! Summer is coming.
The tree's are budding, the birds are singing, and my little man is just in awe of all his new surroundings.
I love this photo. He was so into all the new sights and sounds.
To be young again and able to enjoy things for the first time all over again.

took a break

I took a small break from the little things blog to simply enjoy the little things. The things that make me smile from day to day. The people that bring such joy to my life.
these people
my family

And now with the weather being as fabulous as it has been, we have been doing a lot of this
It's so fun compared to last year with him at the park.
Last fall he was like meh this is okay momma not much enthusiasm but now it's like woah little guy slow down!
He runs from slide to slide, swing to picnic table and then he made his way down to the river.
I thank god every day for giving me such a amazing family to love and to love me as well.
Each day is a new adventure.
Each day we all need to just stop and enjoy
the little things...
